The DDX3X Foundation was created by parents of children diagnosed with DDX3X Syndrome to support children like theirs, as well as adults, who have been diagnosed with this condition and the families that love them. As part of our mission, the Foundation supports existing research, education, and treatment programs focused on DDX3X Syndrome.
Who are Soroptimists?
Soroptimist International of Truckee Meadows is part of Soroptimist International, a worldwide organization of women that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.
SITM achieves its mission through a variety of projects including local adult and youth scholarships, a yearly Thanks To Youth celebration, a STEM program for local middle school girls, educational support for girls in Thulipokhari, Nepal and numerous other local and international projects.
In 2020-21 we:
- Donated $116,713 to the community and Soroptimist projects
- Provided 3,346 Volunteer hours raising funds and supporting community projects
