Be Safe and Stay Healthy

Thank you for your interest in SITM’s sewn fabric facemasks.   At this time we are only providing fabric facemasks for healthcare professionals at multiple agencies and struggling to keep up with just their demands. We are truly sorry to not  be able to provide them for everyone, but here are some resources for how to sew masks or even make masks without the need for sewing. If you want additional information on SITM’s masks please email info@sitmnv.org.

Before you Start

SITM has some suggestions for others who may wish make facemasks.

  • Before beginning, check with your local hospitals, skilled nursing, senior living and other health  care providers to determine their need.
  • Many sewing patterns for facemasks are online, but not all may be acceptable to all outlets.
  • Consider sewing a few prototypes and checking with the outlet to determine acceptability.
  • These facemasks are not a substitute for the professional N95 masks used in hospitals, but some healthcare workers are using them over their hospital regulated masks to prolong the life of the hospital regulated masks. These masks can be washed and reused. Hospital staff other than those involved with direct patient care can also use these sewn facemasks.
