Soroptimist International of Truckee Meadows will host a Candidate’s Forum on Thursday, October 6th from noon until 1:30 pm at the Atlantis Hotel Casino Spa.
Candidates for Washoe County School Board, Reno City Council and Sparks City Council are attending, as well as representatives from some statewide offices. This nonpartisan event gives voters an opportunity to see, hear and assess the candidates’ positions on issues that are crucial to Nevada and especially to Northern Nevada.
Each candidate will have 3 minutes to explain their qualifications and why they’re running, All candidates for the selected races were invited though all may not be attending.
This nonpartisan event is open to the public so please feel free to invite your friends.
Two ways to attend:
- In person at the Atlantis Hotel Spa Casino. Lunch cost is $28 ($29 if paying by credit card) and your reservation must be received no later than Sunday, September 25. To reserve, email [email protected]. Lunch will be Cobb Salad – please specify regular or Vegan.
