SITM is teaming up with the Nevada Attorney General’s office, Soroptimist International of Washoe County and Nevada Trucking Association in presenting the fifth annual benefit dinner supporting victims of human trafficking. This fundraising initiative features a discussion of AB 311, keynote addresses from survivors of human trafficking, legislators, and law enforcement agencies.
In 2013, Nevada passed legislation to establish the Contingency Account for Victims of Human Trafficking. This account established an accessible, immediate funding source for trafficked victims to receive emergency services and support. But it depends on your continued generosity to remain viable. Proceeds from this benefit dinner directly support our survivors.
